In response to an issue where users are unable to use the plugin with free wordpress.com blogs.
If a user has a free blog hosted with wordpress.com they have a few options. The first would be to go to wp-admin > Presentation > Widgets and drag a Text widget and drop it in the sidebar. If you have already used the text widget you can create another under the Text Widgets section by selecting the amount to create and pressing save. Once you have your Text Widget dropped into the sidebar select its configure tab and then enter your Spicypage code in the large textarea and leave the title blank or give it a title and leave the title blank in your setup of the Spicypage code. Close the dialog window that popped up and press save changes.
The problem with that is wordpress does not allow javascript and it gets striped in which case their is not much you can do outside of going to http://wordpress.com/features/user-driven/ and ask that they add the plugin for all to use. The best option we can recommend far exceeds our little plugin and that is to get paid hosting. wordpress.com offers it and that is only one of many that are reasonable and you gain so much more control and use ability.
With that said some of the advantages of using the plugin we provide is that it cleans the query string in the output so that it does not un-validate pages and requires at least one less click than the alternative above as well as the ability for advanced wordpress users to edit the plugin with css and a list to hide the widget from certain pages.
